I'm a grown-up. Can I have Gutsy Gummies too?
Of course you can! Gummies are fun, exciting and healthy treats for everyone! (But don’t you DARE turn your adult one into a fun shape. Boring squares only for adults!)
Is it pregnancy & breastfeeding friendly?
It sure is.
Can I put the Gummies in my kid’s lunch box?
No sorry! We do not recommend putting Gutsy Gummies in your child’s lunch box. Although this sounds like a super fun idea, your gummy will melt if it gets warm, so it’s best to consume your gummies straight from the fridge.
What’s the difference between Jelly and Gummies?
The main difference is consistency. Gummies are firmer and can be picked up in your hand. Jellies are wobblier and not firm enough to hold. The way to achieve more or less firmness is to add less or more liquid.
Can I use Gutsy Gummies to make Jelly instead of Gummies?
Yes you can, however keep in mind that you have to add more liquid to achieve a more jelly-like consistency. Adding more liquid will dilute the natural flavour of Gutsy Gummies, so you may prefer to use juice rather than water if you are making jelly.
What makes Gutsy Gummies good for your tummy?
Great Question, we are glad you asked. Gutsy Gummies is mostly made of Gelatin, which is pure protein. Protein is great for tissue building and repair, particularly the amino acid Glutamine, which is a great food for enterocytes (gut cells). It also contains vitamin C which supports connective tissue structure and function.
Gutsy Gummies contains Gelatin, does that mean there are sulphites in the final product?
All gelatin does contain some sulphites because of the way it is broken down, however, the level of sulphites in the final product is so low that it doesn’t need to be declared. Even a sulphite sensitive individual doesn’t need to worry!
What gives Gutsy Gummies their flavour?
Gutsy Gummies uses a combination of premium refractance dried fruits and Australian made, plant based, natural flavours. We also use a hint of thaumatin which is a very sweet protein sourced from the katemfe fruit.
What does “Natural Flavour” mean?
Natural flavour means that the flavour has been extracted from a natural source using physical, traditional food-preparation processes (e.g pressing, drying, heating, fermentation). Synthetic flavours are made by chemical synthesis. At Nutra Organics, we will only use natural flavours derived from plant based sources, using natural processes, and our natural flavours are made here in Australia.
Where is the Vitamin C coming from?
The vitamin C in Gutsy Gummies comes from organic Sea Buckthorn.
How much should I give to my child?
Short answer: as much as you or they want!
Long answer: we recommend you divide each preparation (made with 50g of gummy mix and 350mL of water) into 6 separate serves. Tried and tested on our own families, a serve of this size went down a treat for adults as well as kids as young as 12 months. This is the size that we have based our nutrition information panel on so you know what nutrients you are getting.
How many gummies are in each serve?
Let me answer your question with another question. How big are the moulds you are using? If each mould you are using is about 60ml, then each serve will be about 1 gummy. If each mould is about 20ml then each serve will be about 3 gummies. If your moulds are teeny weeny then each serve will be approximately 4506 gummies.
What does it taste like?
Strawberry - Classic sweet strawberry taste.
Mango - Refreshing, tropical, mango and citrus taste.
Blueberry - A gentle, sweet blueberry and apple flavour.
What gives Gutsy Gummies their colour?
Strawberry - The beautiful pink/red tones come from organic beetroot, strawberry and cranberry.
Mango - The happy orange/peachy tones come from mango and a hint of beetroot and turmeric.
Blueberry - The cool blue hue comes from blueberry and a touch of blue spirulina.
Is Gutsy Gummies vegan?
No. Gutsy Gummies is made mostly from bovine gelatin.
Is Gutsy Gummies gluten-free?
Yes, Gutsy Gummies is gluten-free.
Are the canisters fully recyclable?
Yes they are. Our canisters are closed loop recyclable meaning that all parts of the canister are fully recyclable and further, the metal lids are even used to power a significant proportion of the recycling processing.
What drying method is used for the fruits?
We use refractance window drying to gently dry our premium fruits and vegetables. We use this method because it provides the highest level of preservation of volatile vitamins and nutrients in food powders compared with any other drying method. This means that antioxidants, water soluble vitamins can be retained to provide their health benefits. The final dried fruit or vegetable retains its colour, nutrients and taste.
